Smaller dog breeds and elderly pooches require a lot less exercise than a larger or younger breed.

• WALKS •

Please note that all dog walking services are offered and operated through Corinne at Fetch’N’Go Dog Walking at 604-671-8887, or Tanya at Yaletown Puppy Love at 604-868- 7787 or Rachel at Pooped Dog Walking at 778-588- 5475.  Adventure hikes are offered by Claire of Wagging Trails at 778-836- 2765. Prices subject to change.

• PET SITTING (overnight stays) •
Small dogs – $55 per day, 2nd small dog from same family $45 per day
Medium dogs – $60 per day, 2nd medium dog from same family $50 per day
Large dogs – $65 per day, 2nd large dog from same family $55 per day
X-Large dogs – $70 per day, 2nd x-large dog from same family $60 per day

Add an extra $10 per day for each dog staying during peak season, including all holiday long weekends, statutory holidays, Spring Break (March) and Christmas (December).

Please note that all Doggie Walks, Group or Day Trips are offered and booked directly with Fetch’N’Go Dog Walking, Yaletown Puppy Love, Pooped Dog Walking or Wagging Trails. Big or small, we love them all! We will assess your pet at our initial visit & place them in the right home, based on our caregiver’s experience.

As your dog sitter Vancouver professionals, we work 24 hours a day caring for and nurturing your pooch! The best way to reach us during the day is by email or phone and we will answer all messages on a same-day basis whenever possible.

Once you’ve contacted us at Love on a Leash we will arrange a time for a short meet, whenever possible, to know your dog a little better before they stay in our home.

This initial consultation is complimentary and gives us a chance to familiarize ourselves with your dogs’ routines and personality. It helps me to place your dog with the best caretaker possible for his/her breed, temperament and age.

We do require you to provide us with further details, in writing, regarding your pet via our Love on a Leash Dog Information and Booking Sheet. This may be emailed or faxed into us. This information ensures a smooth transition from your house to ours, helping to keep your dog happy and creating as little interruption in their daily routines as possible.

• BOOKING •

Please be advised that while we try to accommodate our clients whenever possible, we strongly suggest you book ahead. Peak holiday times, especially all school holidays & long weekends, fill up quickly and we recommend you call us 30 days in advance for dog sitting.

All rates posted will have 5% GST added.

Dog walking can sometimes be accommodated on a weekly basis, ONLY if space is available! Effective June 20th, 2016 all dog walking is offered through Fetch’N’Go Dog Walking, Yaletown Puppy Love, Pooped Dog Walking or Wagging Trails. We require written confirmation for all dog-sits using our L.O.A.L. Booking and Information Form. We will contact you by phone or email, before your scheduled stay with us, to confirm your dog’s arrival & departure times.

• KEYS •

Keys are generally required for dog walking services only.

Your key must be provided at the time of your initial consultation or there will be a $10 charge to make other arrangements. Your key remains safe with your daily dog walker.

• PAYMENT•

Methods of payment include cash, Interac Direct E-Deposit, or Visa and MasterCard.

For Dog-sit clients:
Payment: A $100 (+ GST) non-refundable deposit is due and payable upon booking to secure your dogs’ space with us. The balance is due and payable 7 days prior to your dog’s arrival date by cash, check, Visa or MasterCard.

CANCELLATIONS:
Refunds are as follows and must be received in writing BEFORE your dog’s arrival:

8+ days BEFORE your dog’s arrival qualifies for a full refund, less the $100 non-refundable booking deposit.

Cancellations received within 7 days or less of your dog’s arrival date lose 50% of their total dog sitting fees, with the balance being kept by Love on a Leash as a “credit” for your dog’s future stay with us.

Last minute cancellations with less than 72 hours of your pet’s arrival will forfeit all dog sitting fees and client will receive NO refund or credit. These policies apply to cancellations & changes to the duration of your dog’s stay. Credits are valid for the period of 6 months and subject to availability.

Billing is calculated in 24 hour increments. (ie: if you drop your dog off at 3:00 p.m. it is due for pick up by 3:00 p.m. upon your return.

Overtime/late pick-up, within 4 hours of confirmed time, will be subject to a ½ days rate. Over 4 hours is subject to a full days’ rate added to your bill. Drop off and pick-up times must be determined in advance.

No drop off or pick up before 9 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m. during weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. A surcharge may apply to early or late arrivals & departures if we are able to accommodate. All rates will have 5% GST added.

• VACCINATIONS •

We ask that your pet be current with their vaccinations (every 3 years) for the safety of your pet and other people’s pets. Titer testing results (blood work by a veterinarian to prove antibodies are still in effect) will also be accepted.

Again, this can be discussed and exceptions may be made at the time of your consultation.

• VETERINARIANS & EMERGENCY HEALTH CARE•

Please inform your veterinarian that you will be away and let them know that your pet sitter will be acting on your behalf while you are away. We have 24 hour a day access to Granville Island Vet Hospital in case of an emergency, and we ask that you would inform us of the amount of expenditure you are willing to cover in case of such an emergency.
