As your dog sitter Vancouver professionals, we work 24 hours a day caring for and nurturing your pooch! The best way to reach us during the day is by phone and we will answer all messages on a same-day basis whenever possible. You can also reach us by email at info@loveonaleash.ca. Once you’ve contacted us at Love on a Leash we will arrange a time to meet, whenever possible, and get to know your dog a little better before they stay in our home. This initial consultation is complimentary and gives us a chance to familiarize ourselves with your dogs’ routines and personality. It helps me to place your dog with the best caretaker possible for his/her breed, temperament and age. We do require you to provide us with further details, in writing, regarding your pet via our Love on a Leash Dog Information and Booking Sheet. This may be emailed or faxed into us. This information ensures a smooth transition from your house to ours, helping to keep your dog happy and creating as little interruption in their daily routines as possible. • BOOKING • Please be advised that while we try to accommodate our clients whenever possible, we strongly suggest you book ahead. Peak holiday times fill up quickly and we recommend you call us 30 days in advance for dog sitting. All rates posted will have 12% HST added. Dog walking can sometimes be accommodated on a weekly basis, ONLY if space is available! Effective December 1, 2011 all dog walking is offered through City K9. Please contact Mark Tincombe at 778-997-9663 for information. We require written confirmation for all dog-sits using our L.O.A.L. Booking and Information Form. We will contact you by phone or email, before your scheduled stay with us, to confirm your dog’s arrival & departure times. • KEYS • Keys are generally required for dog walking services only. Your key must be provided at the time of your initial consultation or there will be a $10 charge to make other arrangements. Your key remains safe with your daily dog walker. • PAYMENT • Methods of payment include cash, check, Visa and MasterCard. Checks must be made payable to: Ask A Woman Enterprises Ltd. For Dog Walking clients: please contact Mark Tincombe of City K9 for dog walking payment, policies & procedures at 778-997-9663. For Dog-sit clients: • CANCELLATIONS: Refunds are as follows and must be received in writing: 8+ days – full refund, less your $100 non-refundable booking deposit. Cancellations received with 7 days notice, or less, lose 50% of their total dog sitting fees, with the balance being kept by Love on a Leash as a “credit” for your dog’s future stay with us. Credits are valid for the period of 6 months and subject to availability. |
Cancellations made with less than 72 hours notice will forfeit all dog sitting fees and client will be billed for their dog’s full stay. Billing is calculated in 24 hour increments. (ie: if you drop your dog off at 3:00 p.m., it is due for pick up by 3:00 p.m., upon your return) Late pick-up, within 4 hours of confirmed time, will be subject to a ½ days rate. Over 4 hours is subject to a full days’ rate added to your bill. Drop off and pick-up times must be determined in advance. No drop off or pick up before 9 a.m. or after 6 p.m. during weekdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. All rates will have 12% HST added. • VACCINATIONS • We ask that your pet be current with their vaccinations for the safety of your pet and other people’s pets. Titer testing results (blood work by a veterinarian to prove antibodies are still in effect) will also be accepted. Again, this can be discussed and exceptions may be made at the time of your consultation. • VETERINARIANS & EMERGENCY HEALTH CARE • Please inform your veterinarian that you will be away and let them know that your pet sitter will be acting on your behalf while you are away. We have 24 hour a day access to Granville Island Vet Hospital in case of an emergency, and we ask that you would inform us of the amount of expenditure you are willing to cover in case of such an emergency. • CONTACTING US • At Love on a Leash we pride ourselves on our professional customer service.
