JUDI WANNAMAKER
Judi's got the DNA of a dog-lover. She always wanted a dog growing up in Calgary, but sadly for her, her family was a cat-family.
Once she moved to Vancouver to attend UBC, she was quick to get a black lab puppy named Bart. Bart was a joy to everyone, Judi's room-mates, family, class-mates, and he was even cherished by a few professors (Bart attended engineering classes with Judi).
Judi used to walk dogs on her lunch-hour at the local SPCA, which was a block from her office. Once she finally secured a home with a yard, she got an Airedale Terrier puppy named Matteus. Judi was walking Matteus in Whistler when she met her future husband, Willy, who was walking his own chocolate lab, Haley. The dogs instantly started playing together and the rest is history.
It was love at first sight for Judi and Willy, and also for Matty and Haley. The foursome exchanged vows a year later on a dock at the beautiful Whistler Alta Lake. Life is lively at their household, even though the dogs are both a ripe old age of 7 now.
Daily routine consists of breakfast and a sniff in the yard, followed by a mid-morning walk. An extensive collection of toys keeps the dogs entertained during the day while Judi works in her home office, then a longer walk after work in the ravine across the road gives them something to look forward to...it’s truly a dog’s life with Judi!
